A Dash típuson repülőknek még nincs nagy tapasztalata a téli üzemeltetésben, és a típus illetve a kategória sok olyan meglepetést tartogathat, amelyre érdemes felkészülni. Nagyon érdemes megnézni az AOL 23 perces videóját a farok jegesedésről, valamint a két FAA kurzust végig nyomkodni.

Amendment No. 5 to the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) Procedures for Air Navigation Services – Air Traffic Management (PANS-ATM, Doc 4444) introduces some procedures that are of particular interest to both pilots and controllers.
This leaflet discusses some of the new procedures concentrating on those which are seen as being of significant importance to the safety of operations.
The EUROCONTROL Directorate ATM Programmes - Airspace,Network Planning & Navigation (DAP/APN) Division was involved in the development of some of these procedures and was asked to introduce the amendment to a wide audience. It should be noted that this leaflet is not a complete account of the amendment.

Bizonyára emlékeztek a néhány évvel ezelõtt nyomtatott formában havi rendszerességgel megjelent Safety Review elnevezésû kiadványra, amely a repülés biztonságát érintõ témákat feldolgozó, ez irányú anyagok, cikkek bemutatását szolgáló hírlevél volt. Ezt a hírlevél jellegû, ismeretterjesztõ formát megtartva, de immár elektronikus formában szeretnénk újból útjára indítani a Safety Reviw-t. Havonta újabb és újabb cikkeket, elemzéseket, kivizsgálásokat, fényképeket szeretnénk közzétenni. Bízunk benne, hogy jól tudjátok majd hasznosítani az anyagokat a repülések végrehajtása során. Természetesen érdeklõdés esetén bármely általatok fontosnak tartott kérdésben megpróbálunk a témához kapcsolódó információkat gyûjteni és közzétenni a Safety Review keretein belül. Terveink szerint ezután minden hónapban új témákkal frissítjük az adatbázist és reméljük, hogy sok hasznos információt találtok majd a felkerülõ anyagok között.

A Safety Corner egy olyan speciális kurzust takar, ahol olyan anyagok jelennek meg, amelyek közérdeklõdésre tarthatnak számot. Minden egyes jelenséggel egy új fejezetet nyitunk meg fórumokkal együtt. A fórumokon keresztül aztán mindenki kifejtheti véleményét a témáról, anyagokat tölthet fel stb. Itt nincsenek vizsgák, megoldandó feladatok, csak egyszerû eszme csere, ami valószínüleg segíteni fog abban, hogy egy-egy problémát több színben lássunk.

Introduction Communication experts have found that there are three methods in which we communicate: “words, the way we say those words, and body language”. (Mehrabian. “Silent Messages”). Given the fact that body language accounts for 55% of this ratio it follows that words alone are not normally the principal means of communication. It is therefore vital, when using words alone, to ensure the correct message is understood. To achieve this aim the radio telephony (RTF) discipline, practised by both pilots and controllers alike, needs to be of the highest standard. Communication between pilots and controllers is a four-way process; information is transmitted, received, read back and received. There are, therefore, several chances of errors being made and consequently the need for clear and unambiguous communication between pilots and controllers is essential; it has been recognised as an important factor in assisting the safe and expeditious operation of aircraft, and by ensuring a high level of RTF discipline pilots can help minimise risk. This safety leaflet provides information on areas that have been found to be the source of errors that have the potential to lead to a hazardous situation.

EUROCONTROL is publishing a series of ACAS II Bulletins, each with a different safety related theme, and intended for a wide aviation audience. Each bulletin focuses on an ACAS II operational issue relevant to both aircrews and air traffic controllers.
